Before you sign up or renew, please note: When you buy a subscription to the Green Bag, that is all you are buying – one copy of each issue of the journal for the duration of your paid order. Everything else we produce – books, pamphlets, recipes, toys, high and low art, and so on – is either a gift (e.g., the bobbleheads, the Almanac & Reader) that may or may not be delivered to some of our subscribers and other people and institutions, or a separate product (e.g., Judge Dave and the Rainbow People, In Chambers Opinions) that you must acquire separately.
We publish four issues every year. Subscriptions start with the first issue published after we receive an order and payment for it. Please bear in mind that this is a quarterly journal, so it might be a couple of months before your first issue arrives, depending on when in our publishing cycle you subscribe.
Your address: Unless you tell us otherwise, we will send the Green Bag to your PayPal "Shipping address." If you want us to send to a different address, please let us know in the "Add special instructions to the seller" field on your PayPal payment.
To give the Green Bag to someone, use one of the subscription options below, and include a message in the "Add special instructions to the seller" field on your PayPal payment telling us (1) where to send the Green Bag and (2) who should be billed when renewal time rolls around. And if you want to give the recipient an opportunity to anticipate and appreciate your gift, you should consider using the gift announcement here.
