Before you sign up or renew, please note: When you buy a subscription to the Green Bag, that is all you are buying – one copy of each issue of the journal for the duration of your paid order. Everything else we produce – books, pamphlets, recipes, toys, high and low art, and so on – is either a gift that may or may not be delivered to some or all of our subscribers and other people and institutions (e.g., the bobbleheads, the Almanac & Reader) or a separate product that you must purchase separately (e.g., Judge Dave and the Rainbow People, In Chambers Opinions, Sketches of the Chief Justices). In addition, to the extent that the Green Bag does occasionally and arbitrarily give away goodies, we do not give multiple goodies to anyone carrying more than one subscription to the Green Bag.
Subscription basics: A domestic one-year subscription to the print version of the Green Bag 2d (four issues) costs $40. Postage is included. Subscriptions will start with the next issue. Please bear in mind that this is a quarterly journal, so it might be a couple of months before your first issue arrives, depending on when in our publishing cycle you subscribe.
Gift subscriptions: If you would like to give the Green Bag to someone, please use one of the regular subscriptions links below, and include a message in the “Comments” field telling us who should be billed when renewal time rolls around. If you would like to notify the recipient of the gift, please click here for a gift announcement that you can print out, complete, and snailmail.
