Dear Editors:

Back in my days at Gannett House, the Harvard Law Review had a section called Correspondence. If you still have such a department, I believe that the enclosed essay, Mark My Words, would be ideal for publication as the law review equivalent of a letter to the editor. Otherwise, I would be pleased if you would forward my manuscript for consideration by the Commentary and Book Review Office. In either event, I wish to request expedited review; Mark My Words has received an offer of publication from Green Bag (Second Series).

I do wish to bring one small matter to your attention. Because the subject of this essay bears directly on the Review and its governance, I have not submitted the essay to any other student-edited law review.

I look forward to hearing back from you. You may reach me via e-mail at <grantmore@hotmail.com> or via the U.S. Postal Service at the above address. Thank you very much.

Very truly yours,

Gil Grantmore

Dear Editors:

Nearly three months ago I submitted a manuscript to the Harvard Law Review. It was called "Mark My Words." The editors at Green Bag (2d) have been patiently awaiting your decision on this manuscript. They – and I – would very much appreciate that decision. You may reply to me by electronic mail.

Thank you very much.

Yours truly,

Gil Grantmore
